41 как
Русское как передается английскими as и like. As употребляется в следующих значениях: 1) 'в качестве кого-л.; будучи кем-л.': говорю тебе как друг: будь серьезнее – as your friend I tell you to be serious; 2) 'подобно тому как': вы должны поступить, как он – you must do as he does; 3) 'таким образом, как': делайте так, как вам велят – do as you are told; делайте как хотите – do as you like. Like эквивалентно русскому как в значении 'подобно': она выглядит, как девочка – she looks like a girl. В метафорах, особенно поэтических, в значении 'подобно' могут употребляться как like, так и as: love boundless like a sea и love boundless as a sea.Трудности английского языка (лексический справочник).
