Скажем, ни с чем не сравнимое удовольствие - пинать мяч ногами, поэтому футбол всегда будет популярнее других видов спорта.В другом значении "kick" - это жалоба, но такое использование встречается много реже.(*)
Kick ass (to) — дословный перевод ясен (вы помните, что ass - зад). Но, с одной стороны, это словосочетание может означать наказание: Let us kick some ass! (Давай надерем им задницу!) А с другой стороны - указывать на что-то впечатляющее. You new paper really kicks ass! (Твоя новая статья действительно задевает за живое.) Употребляется всегда с оттенком агрессивности, часто в контексте конкуренции, когда нужно показать кто главный. Звучит грубо, но не похабно.Выражение популярное (см. рис. (Задиристое, но достаточно типичное для реднеков выражение: "Канада надерет задницу", то есть лучше всех она, Канада)). Футболку с таким полуприличным лозунгом можно и в городе носить, в канадском, конечно.
