= дженериквоспроизведенное лекарственное средство, препарат, который биоэквивалентен (см. биоэквивалентность) официально зарегистрированному, но на который закончился срок патентной защиты. Право на выпуск Б. могут получать множество производителей; к их достоинствам относятся низкая стоимость и большой опыт применения препарата на практике. В то время как на создание современных оригинальных биопрепаратов уходит в среднем 8—10 лет и порядка 300—500 млн. долларов, на организацию производства Б. затрачивается от 1,5 до 3 млн. долларов и 2—3 года. В настоящее время основными Б. являются эритропоэтин, альфа-интерферон и гранулоцитарный колониестимулирующий фактор и некоторые другие. Первое определение термина "дженерик" было предложено во Франции в 1986 г.: Б. — "копия оригинального лекарственного препарата, производство и сбыт которой возможны по истечению срока действия патента, защищающего инновационный препарат". Позже было введено уточнение: "препарат конкретного производителя, существенно схожий с оригинальным продуктом, представленный в той же лекарственной форме и имеющий тот же качественный и количественный состав активных ингредиентов и биоэквивалентность, как и оригинальный продукт".Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
