В конференции приняли участие 100 человек (около одной трети мужчины), которые приняли Декларацию независимости женщин [Declaration of Independence for Women], известную также как Декларация общественного мнения [Declaration of Sentiments], по стилю сходную с текстом Декларации независимости [ Declaration of Independence]. В ней были перечислены формы дискриминации женщин, против которых выступали участники конференции. Были также приняты 12 резолюций, одна из которых призывала предоставить женщинам право голоса.
