20 -to grow o to grow up?-
Nota d'usoBisogna fare attenzione a non confondere i verbi to grow e to grow up quando si vuole tradurre il verbo “crescere” in relazione alle persone. To grow, infatti, significa esclusivamente crescere di statura: You've grown!, sei cresciuto! Quando invece si intende “crescere” nel senso di diventare adulto, è necessario ricorrere al verbo frasale to grow up: I grew up in Rome, sono cresciuto a Roma (non I grew in Rome).
