Совокупность знаков (символов), называемых алфавитом кода, и системы определенных правил представления информации (кодирования) в виде наборов таких знаков (ими могут быть как цифры, так и буквы и другие обозначения, поэтому различаются К. цифровые, алфавитные, алфавитно-цифровые и др.). 2. Условное обозначение объекта, принятое для него по правилам данного К. (в значении I), с использованием его алфавита (например, К. или «шифр» города в системе междугородной телефонной связи). Символы К. называются буквами его алфавита, количество букв в алфавите — его мощностью. Любая конечная последовательность букв в алфавите — словом в этом алфавите. Определение объекта по кодовому обозначению (в процессе декодирования) называется его идентификацией. В системах управления применяются К. видов продукции, т.е. числа, которыми заменяются названия: К. причин брака в цехе; К. цехов при расчетах производственной программы завода; К. предприятий — при отраслевых расчетах; К. профессий в кадровых информационных системах и др. В каждой АСУ применяются унифицированные (или подлежащие унификации) и местные К. данной АСУ. К первым относятся обозначения категорий персонала, разрядов рабочих, балансовых счетов, смены, числа, пола и многие другие. Шифры подразделений завода, табельные номера рабочих — примеры К., которые унифицировать невозможно.

It is intended that the following entities designated as “signatories”, shall accept the Classification Code by signing a declaration of acceptance upon the approval by each of their respective governing bodies: IPC, IPSFs and the NPCs. Major Competition Organizers and other sport organizations that may not be under the control of a signatory may, upon the IPC’s invitation, also accept the Code.
