вызов, звонок, требование. Слово очень ходовое. В таких случаях обычно и сленговые, разговорные значения нарастают обильной масой. Вот и с этим словом довольно много таких выражений.Call! — это может, например, означать призыв к правде, типа: "Говори, не увиливай".
It is your call... — тебе решать, твой выбор. Очень распространенное выражение.
To call the shots — заправлять, распоряжаться чем-то где-то (совсем цивилизованный эквивалент - to be in charge).
Close call — так говорят, если человек был близко от смерти, но как-то, почти случайно, выкарабкался.
Есть с этим словом и выражения погрубее:Call girl — девочка по вызову.
Nature's call — зов природы (это поэтично, а вульгарно - отлить захотелось).
