[греч. plasma — нечто образованное, сформированное]плазмида, которая может реплицироваться в клетках разных видов бактерий и передаваться при конъюгации, напр., от энтеробактерий к грамотрицательным неферментирующим бактериям и наоборот. Механизм конъюгации при этом остается таким же, как и при внутривидовой передаче плазмид, поскольку он определяется генами tra-оперона. Однако экспрессия плазмидных генов (включая факторы антибиотикорезистентности) может быть различной в клетках разных хозяев. Спектр хозяев определяется в основном ориджином репликации (см. точка инициации репликации); напр., плазмиды, содержащие ориджин RK2, реплицируются как в грамположительных, так и в грамотрицательных бактериях.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
