Vorsicht, providentia (der Blick in die Zukunft und das danach eingerichtete vorsichtige Verhalten). – cautio (die Behutsamkeit, mit der man gegen mögliche Gefahr u. Fehler auf der Hut ist). – circumspectio (die Umsicht, mit der man sich gegen Unfälle deckt). – circumspectum iudicium (umsichtiges Urteil). – prudentia (die Klugheit, die überall mit Umsicht und Besonnenheit verfährt). – diligentia (die Sorgfalt bei Ergreifung seiner Maßregeln, um sich vor möglichem Schaden zu bewahren). – die göttliche V., s. Vorsehung. – mit V., vorsichtig ( Adv.): die Sache verlangt viel V., res multas cautiones habet: V. anwenden, gebrauchen bei etwas, cautionem od. diligentiam adhibere in alqa re: mit aller V. bei etwas zu Werke gehen, omne cautionis genus adhi bere in alqa re: jmd. zur V. ermahnen, alqm admonere, ut cautior sit.

mв Вене, на площади Нойер Маркт. Установлен в 1739. Главная работа скульптора Р. Доннера. Считается самым красивым старинным памятником Вены в стиле барокко. В центре фонтана - женская фигура, символизирующая Провидение, в окружении четырёх путти. По краям широкой чаши фонтана - фигуры, олицетворяющие четыре притока Дуная: реки Эннс, Марх, Траун, Ибс [другое название фонтана - "Провидение" (Providentia-Brunnen)]см. тж. Оттон Фрайзингский (1111-1158), историк, епископ монастыря во Фрайзинге (Бавария). Создал в 1143-1146 гг. один из самых значительных историко-философских трактатов Средних веков "Хроника", в котором рассмотрел всемирную историю (до 1146) в духе провиденциализма – теологического истолкования исторического процесса как осуществления замысла Бога (от лат. providentia – провидение). В произведении "Деяния императора Фридриха" описал приход к власти и расцвет династии Штауфенов ▲ "Chronikon", "Gesta Friderici imperatoris" → Staufer
