prime event limitation (PEL)
During some Games sporting sessions the seating allocated in the official stand and stand of honor for accredited members of the Olympic/Paralympic Family with rights to designated seating may be insufficient for the demand. Certain accreditation populations have a PEL attached to them, which requires the bearer of that accreditation to buy a ticket. Entry to the official stand and stand of honor is therefore controlled at designated PEL events by accreditation and tickets jointly and not separately. Tickets to PEL events are limited.

ticketing exchange
Activity which should be evaluated at Games-time. One of the challenges that marketing partners face is that of having tickets which might go unused on any given day. The difficulty in finding a solution to this issue is mainly linked to timing. Marketing partners often need to hold the tickets in question until close to the event start time.
