(Anglo-American cataloguing rules, version 2)AACR (Anglo-American cataloguing rules) est une norme de catalogage définissant les règles à adopter pour la présentation de la notice bibliographique d’un document (livre, périodique, article, etc.) en différents champs (auteur, titre, éditeur, etc.). Mise au point par plusieurs organismes (American Library Association, British Library, Canadian Committee on Cataloguing, Library Association [du Royaume-Uni], Library of Congress), la norme en cours est la version 2, AACR2, publiée en 1978 et régulièrement actualisée. Utilisée à l’origine en Amérique du Nord et au Royaume-Uni, cette norme est désormais utilisée dans la majorité des pays anglo-saxons et dans les organisations internationales. Elle est également utilisée pour l’échange des données bibliographiques à l’échelon international, par exemple dans WorldCat, le catalogue mondial géré par OCLC (Online Computer Library Center). Une autre norme internationale est l’ISBD (international standard bibliographical description), créée en 1971 par l’IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations). -
