שָׁתַףPi. שִׁתֵּף (Shaf. of תף; cmp. Assyr. tappû, Del. Assyr. Handw. p. 71 2) to join, combine, attach; to form a partnership. Y.Taan.II, 65d שי׳ … בישראל the Lord combined his great name with Israels (ישר־אל). Ib. הרי אני מְשתֵּףוכ׳ I will have my great name bound up with theirs, that they may live.
