זוּזI, perf. a. part. זָז (reduplic. of זא or זע, v. זוּעַ, cmp. זָאזָא) to move, go away, depart. Keth.XII, 3 לָזוֹז, v. אֶפֶש.Yeb.30a, a. fr. ומשנה לא זָזָה ממקומה but the Mishnah was not removed from its place, i. e. it was left in the collection as it was, though afterwards repealed or modified. Gitt.58a איני זז מכאןוכ׳ I shall not leave this spot until Tanḥ. Matt. 6; Num. R. s. 22, end, a. e. (play on זוּזִים coins) שזָזִיםוכ׳ they leave the one and are given to the other; a. v. fr. Ber.23b צורר אדם תפיליווכ׳ a man may tie up his Tfillin with his money ; לא יָצוֹר he must not do so. Tosef.Shebi.I, 9 צורר he may bandage (a fig-tree when the bark is peeled off). Cant. R. to I, 7 אני צוֹרְרָהּ לך בכנפיך I (the Lord) will tie this up in thy lap (reverential expression for, my lap), i. e I shall remember and visit this act upon thee; a. fr.Part. pass. צָרוּר; f. צְרוּרָה Gen.
