    חָתַת(b. h.) to break, shatter. Ḥull.27a (play on וז̇ב̇ה̇ת̇ Deut. 12:21) ממקום שז̇ב̇ חָ֗תֵּ֗הוּ from where the blood flows, break it (the animals life); ממאי דהאי חתהו לישנא דמתבר הוא what proof have you, that this ḥottehu has the meaning of breaking?
