גַּאֲוָה
1. надменность, высокомерие, гордость;
2. величие, великолепие, слава;
3. волнение.

גַּאֲוָה, גַּאֲוָוהf. (b. h.; גאי) 1) haughtiness, pride. Y.Yoma VII, 44b מפני הג׳ to avoid the appearance of pride (on the Day of Atonement). 2) glory. Ḥag.5b (ref. to גוה, Jer. 13:17) מפני גַאֲוָותָן שלוכ׳ over the glory of Israel that has been taken from him Ib. מפני גַאֲוָותָהּ של מלכות שמים over the (lost) glory of the heavenly kingdom (the destruction of the Temple).

פּוּק(b. h.; cmp. נפק) to go forth. לפוק, Kel. XXVIII, 2; Y.Erub.III, end, 25b, v. פָּקַק. Hif. הֵפִיק) to give forth, utter; 2) to let pass. forego.
