To indicate purpose (Dionys. Hal. 2, 45 ὅπως εἰς φιλίαν συνάξουσι τὰ ἔθνη; Jos., C. Ap. 1, 111) εἰς τὸν πόλεμον Rv 16:14; 20:8. Cp. 13:10 v.l. ἐπί τινα Mt 27:27. ἵνα κἀμὲ συναγάγῃ ὁ κύριος Ἰ.
