Luc. 16, 14) with deviating p (quite uncertain explanation by Specht Ursprung 261 n. 2); one adduces also (Stokes, Fick) some Celtic words for `contumely, infamy', which however miss the inner nasal, e.g. OIr. mebul `shame'.
