48 not ready for prime time
Perhaps it won’t work. Maybe the Iraqis are not ready for prime time yet. Free Online Dictionary of Computing:
•• Not ready for prime time: Usable, but only just so; not very robust; for internal use only. Said of a program or device. <...> This term comes from the ensemble name of the original cast of “ Saturday Night Live,” the “Not Ready for Prime Time Players.”
•• Web Services: Not Ready for Prime Time <...> had sound and X-server config problems – again, on the desktop, not ready for prime time.
•• Stevia: Not Ready For Prime Time. More Research Needed To Answer Safety Questions About “ Natural” Sweetener.
•• Candidate Not Ready for Prime Time. It has become clear that she is not ready to govern the state.
Linux in China: Not Ready for Prime Time

I have nothing against the Catholics, except maybe their Popes. No, boy, I cannot say I approve of your Popes... some of these Borgias, with their poisoned rings and sichlike [= suchlike], were not quite the clean potato. (A. J. Cronin, ‘The Green Years’, book I, ch. 11) — Я ничего не имею против католиков, мне вот только не нравятся, пожалуй, их папы. 54 work simplification
Gen Mgtan idea pioneered by Frank and Lillian Gilbreth and favored by practitioners of scientific management. Any work that does not add value to an idea or process is seen as reducible waste. Tasks in a procedure are analyzed to see if unnecessary steps can be eliminated, thereby reducing complexity as much as possible. This should enable workers to complete tasks more quickly. Work simplification is most suited to manufacturing processes and low-skilled jobs. It can lead to cost savings and better use of resources but it has been criticized for resulting in workers specializing in only one task and for making work repetitive and monotonous. -
