22 Packers and Stockyards Act
Принят в августе 1921. Запрещал предприятиям по переработке мяса манипулировать ценами и создавать монополии, устранял привилегии для частных лиц и фирм в этой отрасли, защищал производителей мяса и конкурентный рынок. Контроль за осуществлением мер, предусмотренных законом, был возложен на министра сельского хозяйства [ Secretary of Agriculture] (с правом заниматься рассмотрением жалоб, проводить расследования и слушания [ hearing], издавать распоряжения типа "прекратить и воздерживаться впредь" [ cease and desist] и т.п.). В 1921 в структуре министерства была создана Администрация по делам мясокомбинатов и скотопригонных дворов [Packers and Stockyards Administration], которая и в настоящее время осуществляет контроль за исполнением этого и некоторых других законов.
