В аудиторских стандартах (auditing standards) Великобритании различают четыре типа оговорок: (1) "за исключением..., что могло..." ("except for... that might...") - аудиторы отказываются сформировать мнение по какому-то нефундаментальному вопросу; (2) отказ от выражения мнения (disclaimer of opinion) - аудиторы заявляют, что они не могут сформировать мнение о том, дает ли бухгалтерская отчетность правдивое и беспристрастное отражение положения дел и операций компании; (3) "за исключением..." ("except for...") - аудиторы выражают неблагоприятное мнение по какому-то нефундаментальному вопросу; (4) неблагоприятное мнение (adverse opinion) - аудиторы заявляют, что, по их мнению, бухгалтерская отчетность не дает правдивого и беспристрастного отражения положения дел и операций компании. Это можно суммировать следующим образом: "Except for... that might..." - "За исключением. что могло...", "Except for..."
