22 The Great McGinty
БИБЛИОГРАФИЯ: сценарий и диалоги в сборнике «Пять сценариев» (Five Screen Plays, University of California Press, 1985). В сборник также включены Рождество в июле, Christmas in July, Леди Ева, The Lady Eve, Путешествия Салливана, Sullivan's Travels, Слава герою-победителю, Hail the Conquering Hero, 1944. Авторская энциклопедия фильмов Жака Лурселля > The Great McGinty

40 put oneself out of the way
стараться; причинять себе беспокойство, стеснять себя (ради кого-л.)Why should Lady Castlewood put herself out of the way to welcome the young stranger?.. Was a great lady called upon to put herself out of the way for such a youth? (W. Thackeray, ‘The Virginians’, ch.
Anything that's handy, Miss, don't put yourself out of the way, on our accounts. (Ch. Dickens, ‘Oliver Twist’, ch. XXXI) —
