Die Zeit von Mitternacht bis 12 Uhr mittags wird mit a.m. bezeichnet, von 12 Uhr mittags bis Mitternacht wird p.m. verwendet, z.B. 10.30 Uhr entspricht 10:30 a.m., 14.50 Uhr 2:50 p.m. Mit half two ist übrigens half past two, also 14.30 Uhr gemeint! Im Englischen gibt es kein fünf vor/nach halb zwei. Das viertel zwei, also Viertel nach eins, gibt es im Englischen ebenfalls nicht. -
