The goal of childcare provision is to enable primary caregivers to return to work despite childcare responsibilities. It may apply to children of all ages and can be implemented in a single program or as a combination of options, for example, by setting up a workplace nursery or giving childcare vouchers or allowances. To comply with equal opportunities legislation, childcare provision has to be made available to both male and female employees.
