Cette formule évoque les vedettes féminines du cinéma américain des années 30 et 40 et notamment les scènes dans lesquelles celles-ci font des numéros de charme en revêtant des tenues sexy. Aujourd'hui on utilise cette phrase en allusion à l'air séducteur de Jean Harlow, le plus souvent sur le mode humoristique. -
2 Usage note : let
When let is used in English with another verb in order to make a suggestion (let’s do it at once), the first person plural - ons of the appropriate verb can generally be used to express this in French: faisons-le tout de suite.
