2 Ring Spun Yarns
A slightly better cotton is required for yarn to be spun on the ring frame than is usual for mule spinning. The thread is smoother and stronger, but not as elastic or soft as mule yarn. -
3 Ring Spinning
A continuous system of spinning wherein drafting the roving, twisting the thread, and winding it on the bobbin, etc., proceed simultaneously and continuously. Ring yarn is usually spun on bobbins or paper tubes. Modern ring frames are suitable for spinning all counts up to 80's. -
