Nota d'usoBisogna evitare di tradurre letteralmente le espressioni numeriche, come ad esempio otto su dieci. In questo caso, infatti, la preposizione su non corrisponde a “on” ma a “out of” e anche la costruzione della frase è leggermente diversa: Otto persone su dieci possiedono un cellulare, eight out of ten people have a mobile phone. La stessa costruzione è usata in inglese per esprimere un voto numerico (di esame o simili): Ho preso 28!, I got 28 out of 30! -
