91 Labor Day
•• New Year’s Day – 1 января;
•• Martin Luther King’s Birthday – третий понедельник января;
•• Washington’s Birthday – третий понедельник февраля;
•• Memorial Day (Decoration Day) - последний понедельник мая (считается «официальным» началом лета, сезона отпусков);
•• Independence Day - 4 июля;
•• Columbus Day - второй понедельник октября;
•• Veterans Day - 11 ноября;
Среди них нет Labor Day, но есть May Day.
•• Из праздников, не относящихся к public holidays, заслуживает упоминания St. Valentine’s Day (14 февраля в обеих странах) – День святого Валентина, праздник влюбленных; Mother’s Day (второе воскресенье мая; в Великобритании – третье воскресенье перед Пасхой); Father’s Day (третье воскресенье июня).
