Ib. to II, 15 ועוֹקְצִין אותם and they pricked them (with a pin); a. fr.Esth. R. to I, 12 (proverbial expression) רמזתו ולא נרמז עֲקָצַתּוּ ולא נעקץ she gave him a hint, and he did not heed it, she pricked him, and he did not feel the sting.
