mugoriento

  • 1 mugre

(Sp. model spelled same [múgre], back formation from mugriento < * mugoriento < dialectal mugor 'filth; mold; fermentation' < Latin mücorem 'mold, mildew')
Grease, dirt, or general uncleanliness. Bentley notes that it also applies to any disreputable person and is occasionally used derisively to refer to an Indian or Mexican. He also mentions that it is not widely used by those who are not proficient in the Spanish language. The DRAE references mugre as a noun meaning filth, grime, or dirt.
