Zi·vil·dienst m¿Kultur?Conscientious objectors in Germany have to do nine months of Zivildienst -community service - the time required for military service. Since 1997, community service has also been an option in Switzerland; it is usually undertaken in the field of health care and in Austria and Switzerland lasts 12 months.
