сущ. топенант – (от голландского toppenant) снасть бегучего таке-лажа, служащая для удержания в нужном положении ноков реев, гиков и выстрелов, а также грузовых стрел. В зависимости от принадлежности тому или иному рангоутному дереву топенант получает дополнительное наименование: спинакер-гика-топенант, фока-рея-топенант и т. д. При большой массе гика топенант может крепиться на шпрюйт—тро-совую оттяжку, разносящую нагрузку на 2 точки или более на гике. -
