Most conventional offices are only full for a fraction of the time they are open because of sickness, vacations, or teleworking and this results in empty desks and wasted resources. Hot-desking enables expensive office space to be fully utilized and forms part of the concept of the virtual office. Although employees practicing hot-desking may have limited storage space in the form of a filing cabinet or locker, most of their work and information will be stored electronically. -
