То что по ГОСТ 50030.5.1-2005 называют кнопкой, в российской документации называют толкатель.
Различают следующие толкатели:

- цилиндрический долкатель с самовозвратом;
- цилиндрический толкатель с фиксацией в нажатом положении;
- цилиндрический толкатель с замком.
- цилиндрический толкатель с сигнальной лапмпой

грибовидный толкатель:
- грибовидный толкатель с самовозвратом;
- грибовидный толкатель с фиксацией в нажатом положении и возвратом в исходное положеие путем поворота толкателя на 90о

и т. д.
Использование термина толкатель позволяет применять для описания кнопочных выключателей понятные производные термины, например:

кнопочный выключатель (кнопка) с зеленым цилиндрическим толкателем;
- кнопочный выключатель (кнопка) с красным грибовидным толкателем.
Использование вместо термина толкатель термин кнопка делает производные термины нелепыми, например:
Следует также иметь ввиду, что по ГОСТ 17703-72 термин кнопка уже занят т. к. является краткой формой термина кнопочный выключатель (краткую форму разрешается употреблять в том случае, когда исключена возможность неоднозначности ее толкования).
Учитывая все вышеизложенное компания Интент рекомендует применять термин толкатель.
