Nota d'usoIl sostantivo inglese doctor (abbreviato in Dr) è usato soltanto in riferimento a un medico o a una persona che ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca. Non è quindi un corrispettivo di “dottore” nel senso di “laureato”: He's a history graduate, è dottore in storia; Mr Rossi is our managing director (non Dr Rossi, a meno che non si tratti di un medico), il dottor Rossi è il nostro amministratore delegato. -
