Взаимный фонд, акции которого продаются по цене, включающей в себя довольно большую комиссию за продажу, как правило, от 4% до 8% от указанной чистой суммы. Некоторые фонды 'без нагрузки' берут комиссию за распределения, разрешенную статьей 12b-1 закона об инвестиционных компаниях, что, как правило, составляет 0,25%. 'Истинные фонды 'без нагрузки' не взимают комиссию за продажу и не предлагают программу Федеральной корпорации ипотечного жилищного кредита, то есть соглашения, в рамках которого покупатель получает инвестиционные консультации или иные услуги, за которые берется вознаграждение .
