The final (except the ντ-suffix) recalls like Lat. eb-ur an Egypt. āb(u), Copt. εβ(ο)υ `elephant, ivory', Skt. íbha- `elephant'; the begin recurs in Hamit. eḷu `elephant' (from where through Egypt.
