Касательно "dwarrows" = "dwarves" см. приложение F."В книге 'Хоббит' используется слово 'dwarves', хотя в словарях написано, что множественное число от 'dwarf' ('карлик; гном') – это 'dwarfs'. Оно должно было бы быть 'dwarrows' (или 'dwerrows')... Я осмелился воспользоваться словом 'dwarves', чтобы подчеркнуть различие с персонажами глупых баек более поздних времён. 'Dwarrows' бы подошло ещё лучше, но я употребил эту форму только в названии Dwarrowdelf."Dwarrowdelf – это перевод Phurunargian, названия Moria на всеобщем. Слово Dwarrowdelf дано в архаичной с точки зрения английского языка форме, поскольку и Phurunargian само по себе звучало архаично. "Архаичность" здесь не очень важна; в переводе названия должен быть использован тот же корень, что и при переводе слова "Dwarf" (или его разновидность) + слово, означающее "рудник, копи, нечто вырытое" – скажем, немецкое Zwergengrube? -
