Lancée en mai 1999 par CyLibris, pionnier francophone de l’édition électronique commerciale, Edition-actu (appelée d’abord CyLibris Infos, jusqu’en février 2001) est la première lettre d’information électronique gratuite consacrée à l’édition. Son objectif n’est pas tant de promouvoir les livres de CyLibris que de présenter l’actualité de l’édition francophone tout en proposant un autre regard sur l’édition. Son directeur de publication est Olivier Gainon, fondateur de CyLibris, et son rédacteur en chef Philippe Renaut, gérant des éditions du Presse-Temps. Volontairement décalée et souvent humoristique sinon décapante, la lettre est d’abord mensuelle avant de paraître deux fois par mois à compter de février 2000. Elle compte 565 abonnés en octobre 2000 et 1.800 abonnés en février 2004. Elle cesse courant 2004.
