Для контроля доступа к разделяемой памяти применяются различные механизмы, в частности семафоры (semaphore). Один из двух способов организации взаимодействия между параллельными процессами (другой - message passing)см. тж. dual-ported memory2) вид общей памяти в многопроцессорной системе. Обмен данными между ЦП в такой системе осуществляется через разделяемые переменные (shared variable).
