Если провести физическую аналогию, этот показатель как бы играет роль массы, характеризующей инерцию экономической системы: чем больше требуется капиталовложений на дополнительную единицу производства конечного продукта, тем система более инерционна (меньше ее реакция на изменение объемов капитальных вложений).
