Воронение металла.Обработка свободной поверхности железного сплава воздействием воздуха, пара или других агентов при подходящей температуре, с образованием на поверхности тонкой синей пленки оксидов. Это способствует улучшению внешнего вида и коррозионной стойкости. Такая термообработка обычно применяется для листов, лент и окончательно обработанных деталей. Используется также при нагреве пружин после изготовления для улучшения их свойств.
