often alsoᅠ bhobhoḥ.), an interjection orᅠ voc. particle commonly used in addressing another person orᅠ several persons = O! Ho! Hallo l, in soliloquies = alas! ṠBr. etc. etc. (according to L. a particle of sorrow andᅠ of interrogation)
