Вторник же был выбран потому, что большинству фермеров приходилось преодолевать значительное расстояние до избирательного участка, отправившись в поездку еще в понедельник, после воскресной церковной службы, которую они не могли пропустить. Также законодателям хотелось предотвратить ситуацию, когда выборы совпадут с Днем всех святых [ All Saints' Day].
