Sifra l. c. נִתְמַעֶטֶת תנופה the sphere of the act of waving is the smaller one; נִתְמַעֲטָה סמיכה the laying on of hands has the smaller sphere; a. fr.Erub.80b מאי נתמעט נתמטמט ‘it was reduced (Mish. VII, 7) means, it was reduced to atoms, v. מִטְמֵט.B. Mets.71a נכסיו מִתְמַעֲטִין, v. סוּט h.Tosef.Mikv.VI (VII), 14 מִתְמַעֲטִין, v. מָעַךְ.
