4 Twills Proofing
Cotton fabrics to be coated with rubber require to be well woven, have a level face, and be quite free from faults. They are made 41-in. and wider. A fair quality is made 76 ends and 76 picks per inch, 36's warp, 38's weft. -

These are fancy twill weaves, formed by increasing and decreasing floats in diagonal twills. If shaded in one direction only they are single shading, and if in two directions they are double shading. -
12 Skip Twills
A subdivision of regular twills, after drafting a certain number of threads of the weave, one or more threads are missed which produces a cut line effect in the cloth. -
13 Steep Twills
Diagonal twills having acute angles. -
14 Bombay Twills
A jute fabric for bag and sack making, 45-in. X 27-in. Bag weighs 21/4-lb. Made of 9-lb. warp and 32-lb. weft (per spindle) -
15 Botany Twills
This is a general term for dress twill fabrics made from botany yams in 2 x 2, 3 X 3, and 4 X 4 twill weaves, and many fancy twill weaves. They are all clear finished, which allows the face to be clearly seen. Qualities are numerous. -

17 B. Twills
B. TWILLSA heavy fabric for bags, sacks, etc., made of jute yarns, 44 in. wide, in 2 X 1 twill weave. The warp is two-fold, 10-lb. per spindle, and weft about 32-lb. per spindle. There are three blue stripes in the width of the cloth. -
