Нашла кого просить!» "I asked Arkady to bring me (he books." "As if he'd actually bring them to you! You sure picked the right person to ask!"
    5. (used with a negated verb) used for emphasis when stating that sth. never occurred, was never completed etc: (equivalents incorporate the negation) (one) never (really (actually)) did...
    (in limited contexts) not once did (one ever).
    Ответа на заявление я так и не получил (Марченко 1). And I never did get a reply to my protest (1a).
    Так (я) за всю войну и не увидел, чтобы подбили самолет (Искандер 6). In fact, not once during the course of the war did I ever see one of these planes put out of action (6a).
