These may be referred to *$$gleghno-, Lithuanian glez$$?nus, tender, weak, Greek $$G blchrós, languid. See, however, the derivation suggested for blian, above. For the Brittonic words, Stokes has suggested the stem blêno-; Sanskrit glána, tired. -
