Thus पशुमालभते means एकत्वपुंस्त्वविशिष्टं पशु- मालभते. This न्याय is established by जैमिनि in MS.4.1. 11-16 and 17 an explained by शबर in his भाष्य thereon discussing the text पशुमालभते. अधर a. 9 अध्यावाहनिकम् _adhyāvāhanikam
अध्यावाहनिकम् [अध्यावाहनं पितृगृहात्पतिगृहगमनम्, तत्काले लब्धम्; लब्धार्थे ठन्] One of the six kinds of स्त्रीधन or woman's property, the property which she receives when leaving her father's house for her husband's; Ms.9.194. यत् पुनर्लभते नारी नीयमाना तु पैतृकात् (गृहात्) । अध्यावाहनिकं नाम स्त्रीधनं परिकीर्तितम् ॥ -

अनृच् च a. [न. ब.]1 Without a hymn, not con- taining a verse from the Ṛigveda; अनृक् साम P.V.4. 74 Sk.-2 [नास्ति ऋक् अभ्यस्ततया यस्य अच् समासः] Not conversant with, not studying the Ṛigveda, one not invested with the sacred thread and hence not yet entitled to study the Vedas (as a boy); द्विवेदाश्चैकवेदाश्चा- प्यनृचश्च तथापरे Mb.3.149.28. यथा चाज्ञे$फलं दानं तथा विप्रो$ नृचो$फलः Ms.2.158; अनृचो माणवकः Mugdha.
