קונאות

קוֹנָאוֹת m. pl. (pl. of κῶνος) cones or peaks of helmets, crests. Zeb.88b כמין ק׳ של קילסותוכ׳ (v. קוֹלָס) in the shape of the cones of the helmets on childrens heads.

קוֹלָסm. ( קלס to be round; cmp. קוֹלָא, קוּלִית) 1) cap, helmetPl. קוֹלָסִים, קוֹלָסִין, קוֹלָסוֹת. Gen. R. s. 99 אילו לובשי כובעים ואילו לובשי ק׳ Midr. Haggadol (communic. by S. Schechter; ed. קיסים, corr. acc.) they (the priests) wear turbans, and they (the Greek soldiers) wear helmets. Yalk. Deut. 885 הואיל והם יוצאין בקלוסין … יוצא בקלוסין (corr. acc.) as they (the gentiles) go out with helmets, so will I ; Sifré Deut. 81 בתולסין (corr. acc.).
