פּוּרְמָא, פְּרָמָאm. (פָּרַם) piece of cloth, rag used as a mask, bandage over the eyes. Tanḥ. Mishp. 19 פ׳ בפניהם כגון חמוריםוכ׳ they (the demons) have a mask over their faces like the millers asses; וכשהעונות גודמין הפ׳ נגלהוכ׳ and when mans sins bring it about, the mask is removed, and man becomes insane; Yalk. Ps. 772 וכל אחד … פרמא בעיניהםוכ׳ (read: בפני ע׳) and every one of them has a bandage over his eyes; Midr. Till. to Ps. 17 פְּרָאמָא נתון לפני עיניהןוכ׳ (ed. Bub. נתונה); Yalk.
